Greeter’s Ministry
Ministry Leader: Patsy McGill
Description:  The purpose of this ministry is to greet people as they enter through the door with a smile, hug, or handshake so that they will feel welcomed as they enter the sanctuary for worship.

Healthcare Ministry
Ministry Leader: Donna Howard & Cynthia Black
Description:  The purpose of the Healthcare Ministry is to be knowledgeable on how to assist during health crisis that may occur during church services, activities and church functions.  All our members are well educated with chronic and acute diseases, treatment and control.

Caregivers Ministry
Ministry Leader: Pamela Tate & Georgia Coleman
Description:  The purpose of the Grief Ministry is to offer support through prayer, encouragement, love, trust, and a place where a person can share their feelings honestly without fear of being judge.  We visit quarterly those in nursing facilities, and provide meals for families who have love ones in hospice, and send cards to those who are sick and shut-in.

Ushers Ministry
Ministry Leader: Sylvia Posey Heggins & Egypt Drew
Description:  The purpose of this ministry is to make sure that the sanctuary is prepared to receive worshipers, and to work closely with the Pastor and the church as we assist in seating people as they enter the sanctuary.

Security Ministry
Ministry Leader: Ronnie Craig & Valeria Goodwin
Description:  The purpose of the Security Ministry is to maintain a peaceful, and safe environment during all Worship Services, and activities here at the church.  We also do a constant check of the parking lot, and property to make sure all surroundings are safe.

Pastor’s Aide Committee
Ministry Leader: Carolyn Earl
Description:  The purpose of this ministry is to aide and assist the Pastor in whatever capacity we can.  We make sure that his robes are clean, and that he has everything he needs so that he can focus on feeding God’s flock with the word of God.

Kitchen Committee
Ministry Leader: Frances Govan
Description:  The purpose of this ministry is to prepare and serve food for different functions and events held at the church.  We prepare enough food for all of Oak Grove and their families to enjoy, and we also prepare all the food for funerals that are held here at the church.  We make sure that the kitchen is clean and sanitized before preparation is started.

Children’s Nursery
Ministry Leader: Irene Brinton
Description: The nursery is open during the 10:45 service for children ages 2-5.  We teach them all about Jesus, and we have fun activities for them to do.
